Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana launches its latest make up addition, an exclusive limited-edition bronzing powder The Animalier inspired by their famed animal prints and the same time reflecting on the timeless glamour. There is nobody better to tell you more about the Animalier, than the prolific make-up artist Pat McGrath:
“The Animalier collection captures the narrative of the house from its birth to beyond,” says Dolce & Gabbana key collaborator Pat McGrath, “Interpreting the fashion DNA of the leopard print with the right beauty vibe meant the full-on Dolce & Gabbana treatment: brazen and really powerful yet soft and feminine. The Animalier bronzer, the heart of the collection, is absolutely brilliant – so gorgeous and it’s foolproof.”
“What I especially love about the Animalier collection is that it is so versatile – there are no rules because the palette is so compatible,” says Pat McGrath, “Whether I choose to emphasize the eyes – smokey eyes are always so fierce, so sexy – or the warm luscious red lips, the look is ultimately pulled together by the fantastic Animalier Bronzer. The bronzer has such an amazing texture – it feels so good – and it creates this fabulous sun-polished glow that is remarkably sensual and that encapsulates what summer means – passion, romance and shedding all inhibitions!”
“The Animalier reflects glamour like nothing else,” says Stefano Gabbana, “The feline sensuality, the refined yet decadent elegance… it represents so perfectly the inner desires and intimate passions of the Dolce & Gabbana woman. Like the lace and the rose, it is a seminal symbol of our past, present and future. It was very important to make it a part of our cosmetic collection; without it the collection would not be complete.”
“A bronzer is what spring and summer are about and there is no bronzer quite like the Animalier,” adds Domenico Dolce, “Capturing the essence of Animalier as this single beauty product was a magical metamorphosis – and in the process, it became an accessory as crucial as one of the Animalier bags.”
