Swarovski with the well known Digital Crystal Exhibition is now in China, adding up to the list a slew of stellar artists from China. The series in an exciting way explores the concept of memory in the fast-developing digital age. The new commissions feature work of artists Liu Feng, Naihan Li, Ma Yansong, Shi Jianmin, and Song Tao whose work is now part of the Digital Crystal: Swarovski at the Design Museum that premiered in London in September 2012.
The collection already featured specially selected Western designers, Ron Arad, Maarten Baas, Yves Béhar, Arik Levy and rAndom International. Digital Crystal presents a unique exploration of what it means to live in a digital age where memory and the personal possessions we once held on to are now virtual or gone in an instant.
It is on display from Saturday 28 September to Thursday 3 October 2013 10am – 6pm First Workshop in 751 D-PARK, 4 Jiuxianqiao Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing. Free admission. (photo above features Amplify by Yves Behar)
