Discover the new Antonelli Firenze Fall Winter 2017 womenswear collection presented during the ongoing Milano Fashion Week.
In the quest for a balance of opposites, masculine fabrics – Prince of Wales Checks, Tweeds, Pinstripes – are used in overcoats with wide lapels, short jackets, pea jackets, and waisted dresses which enhance femininity in a mixing and matching of soft lines and details. And the silk shirts feature micro prints derived from ties and scarves. In the play of contrasts, the elegant dressing-gown, redolent of D’Annunzio, tied with a soft belt, provides the inspiration for the new overcoats and pant suits. These are made up in two-tone wools, blue tweeds and pinpoint fabrics, rendered feminine by the restyled volumes. Inspired by the world of sport are: bomber jackets in precious couture jacquard fabric and in silk velvet; jackets with hoods in neoprene bonded with velvet; proposals in smooth sheepskin/shearling or shaved alpaca in the colours pastel pink, yellow and blue, as well as short jackets with edge-to- edge seams. Lots of suggestions for pants and dresses developed in the new fabrics pilfered from the male wardrobe or in plain-shade or jacquard jerseys for an ever-understated femininity. – from Antonelli Firenze
