Item: 5 euro coin
Designed by Karl Lagerfeld
To honor 125 years of Coco Chanel creative director of Chanel Karl Lagerfeld designed a special 5 euro coin, featuring portrait of Coco Chanel on one side and trademark material pattern of the fashion brand on the other. Struck by Christine Albanel, minister for culture and communication and Lagerfeld last week in Paris, the coins – of which there are two in silver and two in gold – symbolically have a value of 5 euros (5 being the number of the brand's iconic fragrance).
