What was the first piece of clothing you ever worked on?
My first design was a swimmer for allSisters, but i’m not really a fashion designer. I am a fashion producer running a eco-conscious swimwear brand. I couldn’t imagine creating a fashion brand in any other way and I believe that all businesses should opt for a sustainable business model.
Is there someone in fashion industry who inspires you?
I admire David Koma’s work for Mugler.
How did your fashion adventure begin?
I’ve been working in the fashion industry for so many years and I wanted to create a brand in a responsible way. To allSisters consistency is very important, I want to be responsible to the environment and society. The truth is I could not imagine creating a fashion brand in any other way and believe that all businesses should opt for a sustainable business model.
What is the story behind allSisters? What is the philosophy?
The brand philosophy is to create clothes that allow women to move freely in and out of the water. allSisters emphasizes the use of recycled materials and innovative, high quality support ethical codes. We believe that fashion and sustainability can go hand in hand. I couldn’t imagine creating a fashion brand in any other way and I believe that all businesses should opt for a sustainable business model. We are doing a hard work finding sustainable materials to produce a responsible brand that can portrait in the high fashion industry.
Where do you find an inspiration for your design?
We were inspired by the sport-chic swimsuits (one piece) of the decade of the 80-90’s, they were very sexy.
What is important to you in swimwear design?
As I said before I’m not a fashion designer, but I wanted to build my business in a responsible way. Our team had to research a lot, and during this time we found that every day there are new materials that are being created, that excites and motivates us. It is a very nice part of the job, really. Our fabrics contain almost 80% recycled polyamide to create a soft and durable material of very high quality. We want to move the sustainable fashion industry forward. Also, we want to create silhouettes that enhance the female body. Like I said do many tests with different bodies for a common pattern that feels good to all.
What are your favorite colors to work with?
Black and White! We are constantly looking for recycled fabrics and other ways to produce responsibly. Of course we love colours, textures and patterns, but we are more focused on shape to emphasise women’s silhouettes, giving them the power and confidence to feel sexy, in and out of the water.
What does the ideal allSisters women look like?
allSisters is for all women who care about the environment. We believe it is especially for women who live an active life, love the nature, fashion and sports. We believe the swimsuits have to be like them: multifunctional to suits their needs.
