Altuzarra presented at the ongoing New York Fashion Week an inspiring vision of womenswear, shaped for the season of spring summer 2014. While in its core elegant, the new designs reshaped the classic elements into a slew of showstopping garments. The unique inspiration came from the Japanese Boro Clothing, however the delicate draping and selection of colours perhaps mixed with the last days of summer, took us from far east to the islands of Greece.
A delicate colour choice, celebrating summer’s defining white also prominently explores the metalic nuances with an epic sentiment attached to the same. Joseph Altuzarra subtly managed to create a modern collection, but instead of following trends the new designs are easily setting note worthy fresh directions.
Garments went hand in hand with the patina-finished brass jewelry pieces created in a collaboration with Philip Crangi.
