The young Spanish designer Xavier Reyes who, after having completed his studies in Madrid has earned a master's degree at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. Presented his first collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, a collection with a futuristic twist on high-street with a palette of soft colors and pastel shades, cuts and minimalist architecture.
The inspiration of the first collection is the architecture of his city, Madrid, translating its linearity and simplicity in modern clothes. The softness is not expressed by the shapes and colors from the palette, but rather by technological fabrics for t-shirts or sweatshirts like neoprene. A futuristic as well as stylish sportswear collection results in a subtle, minimal and sleek winter collection, featuring quilting and perforations.
