Designer Asaf Ganot presented his vision of Brazil’s way of life with the Spring Summer 2016 menswear collection during New York Fashion Week: Men SS16.
“A collection drawing on the festive carioca culture, on the optimistic, laid-back attitude and effortless flair of Brazil, naturally blending Rio’s beach world and Sao Paulo’s urban style. A wardrobe conveying freshness, lightness, and fun, balances the brand’s sharp aesthetic and customized luxury touches. An evolution from Brazilian fabrics—denim and neoprene (combined with Italian and Japanese fabrics)—to Italy, where the purest workmanship polishes and shapes every single garment. Brazil’s architecture, street-art, and Oscar Niemeyer’s work staples are translated into tridimensional textures, lightness, embossing, new treatments and techniques. Linen distinguishes shirts, pants, and suits; zips are contemporary and bold; knitwear dresses up as natural fabric and emphasizes the “airy” mood, in a well-balanced play of effects, illusions, and casual chic luxury.“
