The label celebrates its Italian routes with a lot of spaghetti (a lot!), and selfies. #ITALIAISLOVE is their hashtag of the moment.
Budget cuts or supermodel saturation might be the reason most of them are missing from the new campaigns, not the story with PRADA. Miuccia and her team to the cheers of their fans brought back the iconic Supermodel Sasha Pivovarova to front their latest collection imagery, photographed by Steven Meisel with an art deco flare.
The above mentioned Miuccia Prada was actually the 1st one to dress the Final Fantasy character Lightning (back in 2012), nevertheless the 3D hero makes her campaign debut in the latest Louis Vuitton ads. There’s more on Design SCENE.
While changing the visual identity of the label designer Alessandro Michele might have angered a few of GUCCI‘s fans (who are not afraid to voice their disagreements), nevertheless the designer has also acquired legions of new fans for the Italian fashion house – a change can’t be such a bad thing?
The new campaign has made its first mark, photographed by Glen Luchford – there’s another image on our twitter @designscene.
It’s the supermodel affair at La Perla who enlisted Natasha Poly, Mariacarla Boscono and Liu Wen to front their latest advertising with the sublime photos by the fashion photography powerhouse Mert and Marcus. See them all on Design SCENE.
Better safe than sorry? Philipp Plein knows how to garner attention, so why not go back for another season to the male modelling instagram sensation Lucky Blue Smith. Mr Blue is joined by his sister as well as a sci-fi supermodel back up for the SS16 ads shot by the lens of Steven Klein – if you missed it or need a another hit of Blue we already covered the news.
Simple and effective was the formula for the high street label Liu Jo who enlisted supermodels Jourdan Dunn and Karlie Kloss to strike a few poses for their SS16 endeavor.
It was a Tisci reunion who along with new faces, called upon his muses such as Mariacarla Boscono and many more to pose for the SS16 ads beautifully shot by the label’s regular Mert & Marcus. See them all. Did you miss Natalia Vodianova?
There’s hardly a campaign as important for a model career as a VERSACE campaign, this Oscar of the campaigns will forever change the model’s status in front of casting directors pushing a model to the front in a heart beat. Raquel Zimmerman might not need a jump in her iconic career with a campaign, nevertheless its a new chapter for Gigi Hadid who’s the new Versace girl, the ads were shot under Donatella’s watchful eye by Steven Klein – there’s more on Design SCENE.
