FALL WINTER 2016 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
Sadie takes a trip for Aw16 creating a sparkling & fantastical collection drawn from her specific personal outlook and style. Old School ski-wear emblazoned with bold chevrons & swooping curves was a major source of inspiration, whilst she also looked to her parents photographs of the young couple on a skiing holiday. Sadie continues to master her strengths in creating innovative and modern textiles, capitalising on her unique heat-pressing techniques of heat-transfer printing, foiling and embossing. Multi textured garments dominate in a wintery landscape of frosty lurex & metallic multi wool kilts are patched together and finished with a slick silver foil hem. Padded protective ski-knitwear has been translated into graphic prints and embossed into lurex. For the presentation Marland Bakus created gloopy silicone elements added to the accessories along with raw concrete & silicone pieces, using hiking ropes and other various industrial & domestic elements. – from Sadie Williams
