Under the helm of designer Phoebe Philo the famed fashion house Celine season after season makes sure to deliver as equally enticing looks for it’s pre-fall 2016 collection (the maison itself is categorizing the collection as Fall, opting out of the “pre” nomenclature). Philo and her team make sure to make the most demanding Celine fan happy with the latest designs to hit the racks, nevertheless placing the spotlight on the evolution of their signature design lines.

The designer itself is today part of the Celine DNA, nevertheless she was not shy very often to address the rumours of starting an eponymous label.
“Discussions with LVMH before I joined Céline went on for a long time. They started off about me having my own label, and then turned into a conversation about me joining Céline. It hasn’t happened so far, but maybe it still will. When I came to the house, I had an idea of what I thought the core values of Céline should be,” she said. “Céline had no recognisable silhouette, no famous historic designers, it hadn’t been licensed out in the Seventies and Eighties as many other brands had. I’ve never really looked into archives anywhere I’ve worked, actually… I feel, like it or hate it, it doesn’t matter, I just like it to be strong.
