Fred Perry and Raf Simons celebrate 10 years of collaboration with a series of 100 archive drops around the world. For the launch of Fred Perry x Raf Simons‘ Autumn 2018 collection selected Fred Perry stores offer interactive portals so visitors can virtually explore the image-space of the surveyed subcultures.
“Celebrating 10 years of collaboration between Fred Perry and Raf Simons, 100 garments from the archive will be situated in environments of emerging subculture as a gift to the next generation of youth culture. A visual survey of the project and these environments will unfold as it happens over the next six weeks. Honouring the collections and the youth culture that inspired them, Fred Perry commissioned young photography talents Olya Oleinic and Kyle Weeks to embark on a visual survey of subcultural currents. Over the next six weeks, leading up to the release of the Autumn 2018 collection on August 20, the photographers will leave a trail of hand folded, vacuum sealed garments as a gift to subcultures to come, while building a body of photographic research.“
