Designer Sabato Russo presented Sartorial Monk‘s Fall Winter 2019.20 collection, that explores idea of the body being the form through which the soul expresses ideas and thoughts with non-verbal codes and gestures, during the last day of the recently finished Milan Fashion Week.
Fall Winter 2019.20 Menswear
“Soft volumes wrapping the body to protect it. Absolute coats that become a shelter for nomadic individuals with a pure style. Flexible clothes free of unnecessary frills. A relaxed attitude that revitalises iconic garments with a clearly perceivable modernity. An elegance ad infinitum distinguished by a fluidity that accompanies the body without oppressing it.
Fabrics are noble and light: wool and cashmere with a sable-like finish; carded and super soft mohair; silk devore velvet in gold and flamingo red. Combinations of materials that get together in the unexpected contrasts of a post-modern classic style. Knitwear is contaminated with the neighbouring world of jersey and becomes the key player in three-dimensional volumes and design. Athleisure pieces as perfect life companions for the daily search for luxe utility.“
