Designer duo Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo presented SUNNEI‘s Spring Summer 2020 Collection, that celebrates brand’s fifth anniversary with profound introspection, on Sunday July 16th, during the recently finished Milan Fashion Week.
SPRING SUMMER 2020 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
“Simplicity, the brand’s leitmotiv since the very start, is drawn closer and closer to design finesse, as the monochrome total looks are defined by layering and superimposition. A variety of concepts are explored: over fits with wavy, fluid lines identify the womenswear collection, while boxy volumes are the main theme for menswear.
Layering is a recurring feature not only in the styling but also in the construction of garments. Another main design motif is innovation, in knitwear with the use of gaff and 3D woven nylon yarns and in the leather garments characterised by a construction which exploits a functional requirement and turns it into a key element. Moreover the collaboration with Albiate 1830 – part of Italian textile company Albini – enabled SUNNEI to both develop a new striped poplin and envision a seven-item capsule collection manufactured in white fabric and enriched with a special label which celebrates the partnership.“
