FALL WINTER 2020.21 MENSWEAR COLLECTION
“The Caruso F/W 20/21 collection is a subtle exercise in soft construction and a rethinking of the codes. Taking the sartorial, full canvas construction for which Caruso prides itself in unexpected directions, extending it from the formal suit to workwear, a malleable wardrobe of pieces meant to be interpreted in personal ways is defined. Soft is the byword when it comes to the way pieces are made, the fabrics they are made of and thereafter the way such items should be used. Caruso offers a repertoire: final interpretation is left to the wearer.
The offer encompasses supple suits, either single or double breasted, field jackets, practical coats, duffel coats, blousons, easy knitwear, shirts in a palette of muted earthy tones, creams, grays and shades of blue and green with sudden accents of orange and electric blue that invites to further mixes. Fabrics are fine wools, corduroy, compact cottons, suede, lightweight nylon. Following the idea of the man as a maker, a workwear streak runs through, with work jackets and pants rendered in sartorial ways. After dark, the Caruso precision becomes faultless, whilst still keeping an easy élan.“
