Dior has worked with the Rimowa on a special collection designed by Kim Jones, featuring a fresh take on luxury luggage specialist’s iconic designs. On January 18th 2020, the brands will unveil a pop-up in the heart of the London department store, Harrods.
The collection will be on display for two weeks, from January 18th to February 2nd 2020.
Like promises of new horizons, clouds float by, their captivating reflections hovering over this new retail scene, home to a real helicopter clad in RIMOWA’s signature aluminum gray and echoing the Artistic Director of Dior men’s collections’ passion for travel. The cockpit and seats are upholstered in the iconic Dior Oblique canvas created by Marc Bohan in 1967. – from Dior
With this pop-up, the House cultivates its privileged links with the United Kingdom. In 1954, Christian Dior organized fashion shows at Harrods, in a specially-fitted Dior room, to shine a light on his creations across the country.
The pop-up will showcase the Cabin and Trunk suitcases, as well as the Hand Case hand luggage, all three accented with the Dior Oblique signature in silver, matte black and gradient blue. Featuring a detachable strap and a spacious interior in leather, the Personal clutch in monochrome aluminum is available in blue, black, silver, or pink, completing the capsule collection.
Available exclusively to order, the elegantly functional Champagne Case reflects contemporary elegance. Designed to hold one bottle of champagne and six Dior Maison champagne flutes, the case features a delicate gray leather handle.
