Discover Vinti Andrews‘ Fall Winter 2020.21 collection, inspired by the energy, the music, and the free spirits of early 90s rave culture in U.K, presented on January 5th, during the recently finished London Fashion Week Men’s.
“Protective layers envelope/enrobe sweat-soaked bodies to defend against the crisp cold of the breaking dawn after a night of intense raving. Garments are layered as if gathered through the night – a tailored shirt covered with a jersey hoodie for warmth, technical outerwear layer for protection and a padded neon yellow padded hi-viz jacket is up-cycled from used Met police coats. Vintage sportswear and outerwear is deconstructed, sampled and recreated – spliced together.Functional details abound, with zips, clips, pockets and pouches in strategic positions on garments.
Colours are earthy and subdued with pops of neon orange and yellow, neutrals, navy. Heat-responsive fabrics change colour with the body’s warmth below.Textures are layered and juxtaposed with corduroy against technical nylon, synthetic leather against shirting fabrics, knit against jersey and tailoring.“
