The internationally renowned footwear designer Christian Louboutin celebrated the opening of L’Exhibition[niste] at the Palais de la Porte Dorée museum on Monday February 24th, during the ongoing Paris Fashion Week. L’Exhibition[niste] is the largest ever exhibit dedicated to Christian Louboutin, and also the very first one in his hometown of Paris.
Among the guest were Monica Bellucci, Janelle Monae, Karlie Kloss, Law Roach, Dita von Teese, Diane & Talita von Fürstenberg, Derek Blasberg, Tamino, Edward Enninful, and Emmanuelle Alt, to name a few. L’Exhibition[niste] opened to the public yesterday, and it will be open for viewing at the Palais de la Porte Dorée in Paris until July 26th, 2020.
“After sponsoring a project to enhance and emphasize the Palais de la Porte Dorée’s Art Deco heritage, Christian Louboutin was invited to create a special project in the space, ultimately resulting in L’Exhibition[niste], a five month long immersive exhibition.
Guests were invited to preview the exhibit throughout the cocktail party which featured a performance by L’Orchestre Lamoureux. Lead by conductor Nicolas Krauze, the orchestra played a selection of movie scores speaking to Christian Louboutin’s love of cinema.“
