Discover CHANEL‘s Fall Winter 2020.21 collection, that was inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s racehorse named “‘Romantica”, photo of Karl Lagerfeld wearing a striped suit with riding boots, and Les Biches (1968) movie by Claude Chabrol, presented on Tuesday March 3rd at the Grand Palais during the ongoing Paris Fashion Week. The collection explores desire for the absolute, an idea of liberation and freedom.
FALL WINTER 2020.21 WOMENSWEAR
A very simple, very pure momentum. Romanticism but without any flourishes. Emotions but without any frills. Movement, air… For the runway show, no frame. I don’t like framing. Almost no dresses, just casaques (jockey silks). Jodhpurs that open over seven-league boots, a nod to those belonging to Karl. For the first time there are press studs on the suits for a more lively gesture. I love CHANEL so much, this collection could only be a new ode. – Virginie Viard
