Outerwear brand, A.A.Spectrum presented its Fall Winter 2020.21 collection lookbook, inspired by Simon Phipps’s book: Brutal London. For this collection the brand collaborated with Beijing based artist Melting Wang on a graphics inspired by the peddling services from drain clearing to house cleaning with distinctive graphic style – ???.
I was inspired by Simon Phipps’s book: Brutal London, a photographic exploration of London’s modernist architecture. Similarly, China’s fast sprawling main megapolis and its urban environment’s rapid transformation is a constant visual stimulus. From the vast spatiality and surrounding environment to the people that inhabits these orbital estates, their life and distinctive style has had a strong influence on the collection design, graphics and silhouettes.
The silhouettes start from the brand’s well known oversized style but takes a new direction of narrowing hems, necks and cuffs to achieve more cocoon like shapes.
At A. A. Spectrum we care about sustainability and try our best to take small but important steps to make a difference, some key pieces use recycled fibers and we adhere to a strict R.D.S. code of conduct and sourcing for all our down products. – from the brand
