ALBERTA FERRETTI presented Un Omaggio a Venezia collection at the prestigious setting of Ca’ Rezzonico, a Museum of 18th Century in Venice. The collection celebrates the 1600th anniversary since the foundation of the city and glorifies the bond, combining fashion, culture, history in a collection of hieratic and sumptuous pieces.
Cascades of fringes, velvet and lace inlays on tulle, sunray pleating, phytomorphic embroideries draw elongated and magical silhouettes, made graceful by capes full of mystery. Long dresses elevate the figure, opening into wide skirts, melting into skillful draping. Airy shirts worn with slender trousers add a seductive masculine note. In the last look, filigree embroidery reproduces in 3D on a long pleated fortuny dress the hands that friend and artist Lorenzo Quinn dedicated to the city of Venice. Nocturnal and metallic, the color palette is pervaded with light, woven into the fabrics and blended into the jewels, with rocaille scents that, rarefied, give the creations an ineffable aroma. – Alberta Ferretti
For this unique project Alberta Ferretti collaborated with historic family Rubelli, expertised in craftmanship and fabrics, and Massimiliano Schiavon, heir to a family dedicated to glass making for six generations who designed the beautiful blown glass jewels for the collection.
