Following the hugely successful debut collection in March, the two iconic brands, BOSS and Russell Athletic are back for another collab! Inspired by the world of baseball, the Pre-Spring 2022 collection celebrates the collective spirit of team sports, through the DNA of the two brands. Mixing bold casualwear and modern tailoring, the collection brings a fresh perspective to retro Americana references.
The new campaign is shot by photographer Andrew Jacobs and directed by Matthew Dillon Cohen in NYC, the home of baseball. It captures the excitement of game day, following a group of friends relaxing and hanging out on the street. Following the group, we see them coming together to revel in the energy of the city, which forms a captivating backdrop to the vibrant new styles.
Combining BOSS tailoring expertise with Russell Athletic’s instantly recognizable sportswear aesthetic, the campaign is highly influenced by the archives of both brands, relaxed fits are achieved with easy, 90s-style cuts that are right for now. The color palette consists of dark blue, cream, and camel, with pops of orange and mineral blue.
Varsity-inspired bomber jackets are embellished with contrast chenille patches reflecting BOSS’s dedication to craft and workmanship. A special blended “BOSS x Russell Athletic” logo features across the collection, resulting in statement branded sweatshirts which have been given the vintage treatment, a fitting tribute, considering Russell Athletic counts the first sweatshirt among its inventions.
The new BOSS x Russell Athletic collection is available to shop in store and online from September 23, 2021.
