GUCCI took to Instagram to tease their latest collaborative project with Japanese fashion label COMME des GARÇONS, as a part of their centennial celebration. The brands have previously worked together back in 2018 on a co-branded PVC totes, featuring Gucci’s green and red stripe detail overlaying the COMME des GARÇONS logo.
In celebration of its centenary year, the House has created a series of collaborative projects, including the collection with Balenciaga and a Mattel‘s Hot Wheels mini Cadillac Seville collectible car.
The centennial, for me, represents an opportunity to bear witness to Gucci’s eternal vitality that year after year, is reborn, it renews itself, reestablishing an unusual relationship with contemporaneity as a boy, forever young, observing the world with a powerful vision.

The brand has recently unveiled the Gucci Vault, an online concept store that functions as both a digital archive for the brand and an e-commerce site. The new COMME des GARÇONS tote bag will launch exclusively on Gucci Vault on Friday, October 15.
