Balenciaga‘s ongoing Art In Stores project continues with a collaboration with Berlin-based artist Anna Uddenberg on a sculpture at the Via Montenapoleone, Milan store. The work is revealed in tandem with a launch of the newest offer from a multiple-season collaboration between Crocs and Balenciaga this February.
Uddenberg’s faceless, stretching mannequin is wearing the Crocs Pool that combines a Crocs Bae Clog sole, a Pool Slide upper, and Balenciaga signatures, such as logo stamps and a visible shoe size numeral.
For these works, the artist drew upon her own practice, which often contorts cultural codes such as body parts, repurposed fashion items, and practical products.
