Luxury house DIOR presented their CD 1947 Capsule and DIOR by BIRKENSTOCK Collaboration, that celebrate the infinitely rich dialogue between Kim Jones and the legacy of Monsieur Dior. For the collection artistic director of the House’s men’s collections Kim Jones was inspired by Christian Dior‘s love of nature and gardens. The collection fuses functionality and elegance, and it features sportswear cuts. The pieces are made of technically advanced materials in grays and pastels, and are ideal for the outdoors. For the very first time the French house collaborated with Birkenstock, the result are two Birkenstock‘s iconic styles, the Milano sandal and Tokio mule, reimagined with Dior‘s codes and technical details.
Fashion photographer Jackie Nickerson captured the images starring models Nonso David and Teo Fortin. In charge of styling was Melanie Ward, with casting direction from Shelley Durkan.
