Highly anticipated collaborative collection between French fashion house JACQUEMUS and sportswear giant NIKE is finally here and it’s only the start of the long-term partnership. The collection introduces sport style into everyday life, following a belief that sport isn’t simply about performance, it is also an expansion of style and self.
CAPSULE COLLECTIONS
The campaign is shot in the salt mountains of Camargues in the South of France by American photographer Zoë Ghertner. The star of the campaign is English singer and songwriter Jorja Smith.
For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way. I have always been inspired by vintage ACG pieces and Nike campaigns from the ’90s. Having this imagery in mind, we designed women’s athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colors, along with my own interpretation of the Humara, my favorite Nike shoe. It was important for the collection to be accessible for all bodies, and to be a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance.
– says Simon Porte Jacquemus.
Simon Porte Jacquemus has updated Nike’s heritage pieces with his uber-feminine aesthetic, redefining summer “ready-to-wear” fashion. The collection features apparel, unisex footwear and accessories.
