Fashion brand SPORTMAX unveiled their Resort 2023 Collection that fuses the 19th century rigour of Queen Victoria’s England era with the psychedelia of the 60s and 70s. The Victorian Psychedelia collection explores contrasts and the creative tension, and it also pays tribute to English singer PJ Harvey. The pieces inspired by the psychedelics of the 60s and 70s bring a kaleidoscope of energetic colors, lysergic patterns and curved lines. The looks are heightened with pop graphics; jacquard knitwear in oversized volumes embraces the figure and then surprises with flares or slits. Victorian-era is reinterpreted with sober, high collars that are softened by small ruffles, conquering puffed sleeves that are enhanced by bracelets that sit above the elbow, and skirts that flare out into fanciful orbs.
