Fashion brand PAUL SMITH presented their Fall Winter 2022.23 collection with a campaign, that explores an imaginary day on a movie set, captured by fashion photographer Johnny Dufort. In charge of styling were Julian Ganio and Nell Kalonji, with set design from Polly Philp, and casting direction by Ben Grimes. Beauty is work of hair stylist Virginie Pinto Moreira, and makeup artist Hiromi Ueda. Stars of the campaign are models Daiki Koga, Jean-Luc Joseph, Przemek Szubert, Yeray Allgayer, and Zair Cheseaux. The campaign that was inspired by by cinematic details, techniques and styles, captures a mood of optimism, nostalgia and fun. It highlights collection’s bright and bold palette, strong silhouettes, and sharp tailoring.
“For anyone with a fondness for nice clothes and appreciates good style, it’s been a lacklustre couple of years when it comes to our personal wardrobes. With opportunities to dress up few and far between and a mass exodus from offices, at times, it has felt like our day-to-day uniforms have rarely expanded beyond sweatpants. There is, of course, nothing wrong with putting comfort first or keeping things casual. But with the promise of events and holidays and parties once again on the horizon, there’s a particular joy in taking things up a sartorial notch: wearing a bold, printed dress or donning a statement suit. At least, we reckon, every once in a while.” – from Paul Smith
