Fashion house KARL LAGERFELD presented its Spring Summer 2023 Womenswear Collection that fuses the brand’s classic codes with Mars-inspired fantasy. The collection explores a selection of archive pieces and planetary inspiration through voluminous silhouettes, image-driven features, retro cut-out details, and refined tailoring. Color palette features warm shades such as burnt sienna and rust orange enriched with pops of vivid turquoise and pink, plus soft lemon and lime. For the season, design director Hun Kim also created the HOTEL KARL capsule that features a sophisticated archive-inspired logo and vintage lettering that appears across luxe sweatsuits and sharp, laidback essentials.
SPRING SUMMER 2023 COLLECTIONS
“Embracing the brand’s DNA codes, broderie anglaise appears on an oversized white shirt dress, a showstopping KL-embroidered lace coat and an airy, lemon-flavored summer suit that works as well at the office as a warm evening out. Meanwhile, orange bouclé panels playfully elevate casual denim separates, lending intrigue, texture and a touch of Parisian chic. As the heat rises, lemon and lime creamsicle shades provide a refreshing treat for high summer, including the new fashion-forward assortment of Ikonik 2.0 separates made with more sustainable dyes. Monochrome looks are a breeze to build with an off-the-shoulder, ecovero-blend dress and lightweight tailored coat in soft yellow or a monogram-clad, keylime jacket and pants set.” – from Karl Lagerfeld
