Fashion brand ARTHUR ARBESSER unveiled its Fall Winter 2023 Collection, that was inspired by the work of designer’s Great-Great grandfather – a landscape painter Hermann von Koenigsbrunn, on February 25th, during the ongoing Milan Fashion Week. The collection highlights Hermann von Koenigsbrunn’s paintings made during his expeditions to Egypt, Sri Lanka, and Greece, in the 1850s. For the season the brand embraces the past with a new, intimate and personal aesthetic. Photography duo ICTM captured the lookbook with styling from Francesco Saverio Costanzo. In charge of casting direction was R&F Casting. Beauty is work of Serena Congiu. Stars of the session are Sofia Hansson and Ismaila Abdullahi.
FALL WINTER 2023.24 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
“Next to this meticulous and traditional way of painting, we brought in some purposely abstract prints to represent our studio, a place of joyful experimentation: coloured tissue paper mixed with glue and water or hundreds of imprints of a tiny sponge turned into two organic graphics, achieving an emulation of tree trunk surfaces. Draping and tailoring was given fresh attention, transforming usual dresses and suits into mature and sleeker garments, in thick glossy viscose/wool or technical wool/nylon. Knitwear unintentionally, however subconsciously – seems to call back interiors from wood inlays to Thonet chair weaving. That Viennese, Mitteleuropean stamp seems to never not be prominent.” – from Arthur Arbesser
