Fashion house MONCLER reunites with Rick Owens for another specific collaboration, this time around, they are introducing a Sleeping Pod. The previous project revolved around a customized tour bus that created an aesthetic bubble with interiors and clothing to match for a road trip to Michael Heizer’s master earthworks Double Negative and city Nevada, USA. This time the collaboration gets more intimate – reduced to a more introspective bubble – a silent sleeping pod that’s a cross between a meat locker and an Egyptian tomb, also with a wardrobe to match. The steel soundproof isolation sleeping pod with regenerative oxygen concentration feature is lined and insulated organically, featuring dyed recycled nylon. The sleeping pod also has a temperature controlled ventilation system with internal sound, lightning and video system and refrigerated storage. The bed will be available for purchase through the Owenscorp Furniture Division.
