Fashion house BOSS presented its Spring Summer 2023 Collection, that explores tailored contrasts and sheer fluidity, with a fashion show in Miami on March 15th. The collection reimagines traditional tailoring in a contemporary way, and plays with dualities such as solid and fluid, opaque and transparent, past and present. The brand’s signature tailoring pieces – the suit, shirting, and the trench coat are reinterpreted with use of specific fabrics and prints including stripes and pinstripes, and fresh hues. The garments are made of lightweight fabrics in the brand’s signature tones of black, white, and camel, as well as in warm, muted colors such as sun-faded, powdery hues that mimic Miami’s Art-Deco architecture. The show explored aquatic theme, and it featured all-star casting including Naomi Campbell, Pamela Anderson, Law Roach, Khaby Lame, DJ Khaled, Alica Schmidt, Yusra Mardini, Precious Lee, Ibtihaj Muhammad, Ezra Frech, Caleb Williams, Jordan Barrett, Naomi Watanabe, Gottmik, and Violet Chachki. For the season Boss brings a sleek and sophisticated idea of what it means to become and embrace the spirit of self-determined individuality in an ever-changing world.
SPRING SUMMER 2023 COLLECTIONS
The BOSS Spring/Summer 2023 collection is a fluid revisitation of the brand’s heritage tailoring while offering a ‘see now, buy now’ approach to key pieces. One of the underlying motifs that inspired the collection is the exquisite tension that lies between contrasting elements, such as solid and fluid states; land and sea; opaque and transparent; past and present. This powerful juxtaposition serves as the cornerstone of a new exploration in prints, tones, and textures, opening the door to a world that invites a creative, visual dialogue. It is a sartorial reflection in looking back to move boldly forward into the future and embody the spirit of a true BOSS. – Marco Falcioni, SVP of Creative Direction at HUGO BOSS
