Fashion brand Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY unveiled its Resort 2024 Collection titled STATANT PASSANT RAMPANT that explores mediaeval Britain’s visual language. The collection name refers to three key poses adopted by animals depicted in traditional heraldry, progression from a standing position (statant), to walking (passant) and, finally, a triumphant hind-legged roar (rampant). This repurposing of heraldic symbolism, as depicted in new illustrations by Charles Jeffrey, serves as the central motif of the collection. Creating a mesmerizing composite of color, mischievous unicorns, eagles, and rampaging lions jostle with traditional heraldic tinctures such as diamonds and stripes. Printed on key denim items such as jackets and jeans, as well as on mini dresses, guddleknits, and a variety of accessories. This new print fits seamlessly into LOVERBOY‘s distinguished lineage, exemplifying the brand’s ongoing fusion of heritage and avant-garde sensibility.
Fashion photographer Dexter Lander captured the lookbook featuring models Mateen Ismail and Mika Nobles. In charge of styling was Ben Schofield, with set design from David Curtis-Ring, and movement direction by Kate Coyne. Beauty is work of hair stylist Linus Johansson, and makeup artist Soda Eiyn Choi.
