Fashion house MISSONI unveiled its Spring Summer 2024 Men’s Collection that brings a balance of comfort, style, and timeless elegance, on Sunday, June 18th, as part of the ongoing Milan Fashion Week. At Missoni, color is an essential element that shapes and defines form, silhouette, and shape. It serves as a means of communication, codifying and rhythmically arranging the garments. The transformation of color into patterns, textures, and graphic elements makes it a vital component of the collection.
SPRING SUMMER 2024 COLLECTIONS
The collection builds upon an ongoing reinterpretation of men’s fashion and aims to elicit an air of ease that is both dignified and casual. The silhouettes are loose, liberating the body while highlighting its natural contours and textures. The color palette is rooted in nature, with hues resembling skin tones, sand, khaki, blue, and the classic combination of black and white. On a micro and macro scale, the hues intertwine in serpentine patterns, flame motifs, and argyle designs.
The Missoni man is portrayed as athletic and spontaneous, finding comfort in knitwear as both a physical and mental state. Even when wearing denim, he embraces layering and mixing with freedom. He favors soft volumes and whimsical patterns that generate motion across the surface of the fabric. In the evening, he enjoys the allure of black, accentuated by lurex, sequins, and glossy finishes. His versatile wardrobe consists of trench coats, blazers, blousons, bermuda shorts, trousers, shirts, denim, and t-shirts. The cardigan, an emblem of Missoni‘s identity, is reimagined through a fusion with the bomber jacket, adding a hint of modernity.
Completing the ensemble are glasses, sandals, and white sneakers, which reflect a lifestyle that effortlessly adapts to any age or time of day.
Fashion photographer Walter Pierre captured the lookbook featuring models Aboubakar Konte and Valentin Caron. In charge of styling was Lorenzo Posocco. See every look from the MISSONI Spring Summer 2024 Men’s Collection in the gallery below:
