Danny Reinke introduced his Spring Summer 2024 collection titled ‘Lustgarden‘ as part of Berlin Fashion Week. This line can be interpreted as a fashion-turned illustration of the artwork ‘Garden of Delights‘ by Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch. A major part of Reinke’s lines are always one-of-a-kind pieces that are produced only on demand to protect resources. That way the production is made as environmentally-friendly as possible. The durable creations made of highest quality are all fabricated in the Berlin atelier. This prét-à-couture range for men and women creates an utopian dream image and creatively plays with contradictions.
SPRING SUMMER 2024 COLLECTIONS
The colour palette comprises a lot of graceful pastel hues: for instance various rosé tones play a central role in this line. They are repeatedly paired with sky blue, various green nuances, silver, graphite and white. Therefore a very sophisticated, elegant overall image is created. When observing the prints of this collection you will recognize they often take their inspiration from a very famous artist, world-famous Renaissance painter Hieronymos Bosch. Influences from his painting ‘The Garden of Earthly delights’ are clearly visible which also gives this collection its name. Elements from this painting were transferred to the prints, expanded and/or reassembled. Danny Reinke found the inspiration for this new collection while visiting a museum.
Worth of mentioning is also the fact every garment and every detail was hand-crafted in the designers’ atelier in Berlin. For this line, Danny Reinke recruited a couture tailor from Paris for the first time to his team. In the context of this collaboration, key pieces of his Spring/Summer 2024 collection were fabricated, for example a dress which is provided with 300 hand-crocheted flowers and leaves.
For the creation of the jewellery of this line, Danny Reinke teamed up with BIJOU BRIGITTE for the first time to create the most unique looks. He chose jewellery pieces from his collaboration partner from returns and rejects and then combined them into a collection key piece. That way he created a new object and gave the jewellery a second life. The accessories by BIJOU BRIGITTE underline the theme of the collection in a sculptural way.
In addition to that, the models were wearing a very natural, fresh make-up look. The hairstyles of the female models appeared playful and feminine. Sometimes the ponytails were provided with tiny bows. Other hairstyles contained opulent jewellery applications. For his menswear looks, the designer preferred natural styles.
Danny Reinke created a very opulent, sophisticated and graceful Spring Summer 2024 that certainly stayed in mind. He introduced his line as part of the W.E4. FASHION DAY at the Verti Music Hall. This format was an official part of the Berlin Fashion Week and was supported by the Senate for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises in cooperation with the Fashion Council Germany. Asymmetric tendencies, vivid prints, flower appliqués, cut outs, sparkling creations, bows, dresses that were provided with trails and floating silhouettes made this collection highly unique.
