The British Fashion Council (BFC) unveiled the contenders for The Fashion Awards 2023 (TFA), scheduled for Monday, 4th December 2023, at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. Orchestrated by the BFC, the TFA serves as the chief fundraising event for the BFC Foundation, emphasizing the significant role of fashion at the convergence of culture and entertainment. The awards shine a light on the year’s exceptional creative talents, recounting the narratives of the fashion year through the prism of purpose, distinction, and creativity. This year, particular emphasis will be placed on lauding British creative prowess for its remarkable influence on the global fashion sector.
The revealed categories encompass Model of the Year, British Menswear Designer, British Womenswear Designer, New Establishment Menswear, and New Establishment Womenswear, with the victors to be disclosed during the event. In this iteration, the BFC has engaged prominent media and buyers possessing profound industry insight to craft a list of potential nominees. This shortlist will be placed before a Voting Committee comprising 1,000 preeminent individuals from the industry, tasked with selecting the winners. Notably, this year marks the inaugural occasion where the public will be granted the privilege to cast their votes for the Model of the Year.
