Luxury fashion giant Burberry is embarking on its next global takeover, introducing Seongsu Rose as the latest installment of Burberry Streets—a global series celebrating the joy of urban discovery and exploration.
Situated in the bustling Seongsu area of Seoul, Seongsu Rose is an exquisite blend of Burberry’s avant-garde vision and its timeless British heritage. As visitors delve into the heart of Seongsu, they will be greeted by immersive installations and events, each channeling iconic Burberry emblems, such as the intricate rose print and the newly reimagined Equestrian Knight Design.
One of the experience’s highlights, the Petal Maze, promises a mesmerizing journey. Drawing inspiration from the quintessential English rose—a symbol deeply rooted in Daniel Lee’s debut collection for Burberry—the maze comes alive with meticulously crafted shapes like petals, stems, and leaves, each highlighting the Winter 2023 offerings.
Kickstarting this transformative experience, a special inaugural event will take place at Seongsu Rose on 6 October.
But the magic doesn’t end at roses. Seongsu Shoe and Seongsu Bottle, two curated micro pop-ups, will further enrapture visitors, showcasing the latest footwear and hot water bottle designs from the Winter 2023 collection.
For those yearning for a slice of genuine British flavor, Burberry has that covered too. The North London renowned café, Norman’s, will set up shop, offering patrons a selection of beloved British classics. Staying true to its roots, the pop-up will proudly flaunt Norman’s signature design.
As a testament to Burberry’s iconic status, symbols of the house, especially the vivid purple rose print, will proudly wave on flags and adorn buildings throughout Seongsu.
This immersive venture coincides with the much-awaited launch of the Winter 2023 collection, marking Daniel Lee’s inaugural lineup for Burberry. The collection, symbolizing a fresh chapter for the brand, can be explored both in physical stores and online. The brand’s revamped e-commerce website, echoing Burberry’s renewed creative direction, also makes its debut.
Seoul isn’t the only city on Burberry’s radar. Burberry Streets is set to grace Shanghai later this October.
The Seongsu Rose experience awaits visitors from Saturday, 7 October to Sunday, 5 November at 73 Yeonmujang-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
