Diesel has broken new ground with its cutting-edge Metamorph project, unveiling the Vert watch—a wearable that blurs the lines between physical and digital realms.

Developed in collaboration with the Fossil Group, the Vert is the flagship timepiece in Diesel’s Metamorph collection, conceptualized and brought to life using the latest VR technology. The influence of Diesel Creative Director Glenn Martens is evident in the watch’s distinctive design, striking a balance between organic and futuristic aesthetics.
The Vert isn’t just a watch. It’s an experience, an invitation. Upon its release, Vert owners and Diesel fans alike will be welcomed into the Diesel Metamorph—a narrative-driven brand escapade offering a multi-dimensional, immersive journey echoing the watch’s ethos.
The first iteration of the Vert arrives in five distinct styles. These range from the metallic sheens of silver-tone ($350) and gold-tone ($375) to the stark elegance of black ($375). Also making its debut are two limited editions: a 700-piece silver-tone with black leather inlays priced at $395, and a 300-piece white variant, complemented by a silver sunray dial and white leather-bracelet, retailing for $425. Notably, every Vert purchase unlocks an NFT, connecting the wearer to the metaverse.
Glenn Martens, the creative mastermind behind Diesel, expressed his enthusiasm about the collection: “I’m really excited about the Metamorph launch because the Vert is my first watch of this collection. It reincarnates the brand in the way that says Diesel is for everybody. The metamorphosis of the vertebrae is based on something organic. It could look like a bone structure.
Is it from the Metaverse? Is it an alien? Is it a human? It’s the concept of the center point, the backbone of something or somebody. How we designed Metamorph is linked to the new generation. It’s virtual reality-made. It’s a sexy watch.” – he added.
But the Vert journey doesn’t stop at the wrist. Diesel, alongside digital artistry giants Artificial Rome, beckons Vert owners and fans to the Metamorph—a sprawling, virtual playground. Here, players will engage with quests to “reactivate time” in a land frozen still. The journey ends with a virtual concert featuring artist Lil’ Dre.
Vert purchasers gain a unique NFT, evolving through three stages leading up to the Metamorph event. Within this metaverse, they can further personalize and elevate their avatars, giving them an edge over other participants.
