H&M has just unveiled its latest designer alliance, this time partnering with the iconic brand, Rabanne. Recognized as a revolutionary force in French fashion due to the groundbreaking designs of its late founder, Paco Rabanne, the brand has seen a resurgence since 2013 under the creative stewardship of Julien Dossena.
To herald this collaboration, a glittering event was held at Silencio nightclub in Paris, attended by celebrities such as Jared Leto, Damson Idris, Irina Shayk, and Elle Fanning, who also previewed the collection.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s head of design womenswear and creative advisor, expressed her excitement, stating, “Rabanne’s metallic dresses are instantly-recognisable pieces of fashion history. We’re thrilled to bring a dazzling array of Rabanne designs to our customers with this sensational collaboration.”
Julien Dossena, Rabanne’s creative director, highlighted his personal design ethos of exploring hedonism and empowerment. He added, “I was very enthusiastic to work with H&M on a collection that will introduce Rabanne’s avant-garde energy to a wider audience in a democratic way.”
This collaboration will not only feature womenswear and menswear but will also introduce shoes, accessories, and even an H&M Home décor capsule that aligns with the fashion line.
The celebratory event for the H&M and Rabanne partnership at Paris’s legendary Silencio nightclub was nothing short of spectacular. Attendees were treated to performances by Swedish pop sensation Robyn and the acclaimed South Korean DJ and producer, Peggy Gou. The event was further electrified by a surprise appearance from American singer and actress, Cher.
Many of the attendees, including Cher, Elle Fanning, Peggy Gou, Robyn, Irina Shayk, and others, showcased pivotal pieces from the dynamic Rabanne H&M collection.
Julien Dossena noted the brand’s intrinsic jovial nature and expressed his satisfaction at seeing guests embracing the collection’s exuberant spirit. Ann-Sofie Johansson aptly summed up the evening, stating, “Where better to reveal a collection made for floor-filling moments than at an iconic nightclub? It was a joy to unveil the Rabanne H&M collaboration in Paris with our guests revealing the show-stopping potential of this versatile collection”
The much-anticipated collection will be available in select H&M stores and online at hm.com from 9 November 2023.
