Drawing inspiration from the transformative power of menswear in women’s fashion, the collection harmoniously blends elongated silhouettes with elegantly draped designs, and tuxedo-inspired romantic volumes with tailored separates and festive dresses.

The collection predominantly features a monochromatic color palette of black, white, and silver. Among its standout pieces are a tuxedo bandeau, a cropped sequin jacket adorned with bow tie-ups, a classic poplin tuxedo shirt, elegant column skirts, and glistening dresses. The collection is characterized by its pronounced shoulders, cinched waists, and flowing designs. It is further accentuated by oversized bows, expansive ruffles, and glimmering details. Trousers in this collection exude a grand presence – long, wide, and voluminous. The art of sculptural draping is vividly present in the asymmetric jersey dresses and versatile tops. Adding to the festive spirit, the accessories emphasize luminosity with sparkling party bags, intricate footwear, chic hair bows, and glittering jewelry.

Eliana Masgalos, the Concept Designer at H&M, articulates the collection’s ethos: “For the holiday season, we wanted to explore the dialogue between womenswear and menswear. So while the collection has strong elements of the tuxedo and tailoring, we made sure to balance it with graceful draping and shiny embellishments. The look and feel is classic yet edgy, and ideal for celebrating with loved ones.“
The H&M Holiday 2023 collection campaign underscores the theme of ‘togetherness’. It features a star-studded lineup including Mila Jovovich, Bobby Gillespie, Malgosia Bela, Mona Tougaard, and Paloma Elsesser alongside their families. Captured through the lens of renowned photographer Mikael Jansson and styled by Suzanne Koller.
