The STUDIO NICHOLSON + ZARA collaboration, titled “Timeless Sensory Silhouettes, For Modern Living,” is a dynamic alliance that redefines modern fashion. Orchestrated by Studio Nicholson founder and creative director, Nick Wakeman, the collection is an extension of her personal lifestyle, influenced by her taste, style, and focus on materials.
The collaboration is marked by a commitment to surpassing boundaries with innovative fabrics and natural materials, a priority for Wakeman since the inception of Studio Nicholson in 2010. The collection fuses the distinctive styles of Zara with Studio Nicholson, emphasizing sustainability throughout its women’s, men’s, and homeware lines.
The women’s section of the capsule features deconstructed classics with a progressive twist, including items like organic cotton quilted trench coats and knitwear made from recycled cashmere blends. Meanwhile, the men’s collection comprises modern and sophisticated pieces, such as voluminous wool trousers sourced sustainably, recycled polyester jackets, and urban-style wool and nylon coats.
The collaboration extends to home decor, where Wakeman’s vision is evident in the range’s design and functionality. This includes a marble lamp with a paper shade, a blanket made of RWS-certified wool, and modular objects for multiple uses. Wakeman’s intent is for these pieces to elevate homes and spaces, serving as complementary items that bring new texture and interest to a room, akin to layering in a modular wardrobe from season to season.
