Rochas has recently announced the appointment of Alessandro Vigilante as the new Creative Director of its Ready-To-Wear line. Vigilante, an Italian designer with an impressive background in the fashion industry, has previously worked with renowned brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini, and The Attico.
Philippe Bénaçin, CEO of Interparfums, expressed his excitement about Vigilante’s appointment, noting his distinctive approach to elegance, modern femininity, and the exploration of women’s body expression. This move is part of the broader repositioning strategy of Maison Rochas, which is now fully managed by Interparfums, covering marketing, communications, and licensing activities.
Vigilante’s journey in fashion began after a career in contemporary dance. He is a graduate of the IED Moda Lab in Milan and has distinguished himself as a trained tailor and an enthusiast of art, film, photography, and dance. His first collection under Rochas is expected to debut at the Paris Fashion Week in February 2024, promising to infuse modernity into the brand’s charismatic and sophisticated legacy.
“I am honoured and grateful to be joining the Maison Rochas and for the opportunity to build on the rich and profound heritage of the House. Rochas represents a dedication to French sophistication and a celebration of Womanhood that I find incredibly inspiring. I am looking forward to conveying my vision”.
– said Alessandro Vigilante.
