Michelle Ochs’ Pre-Fall 2024 Collection for Herve Leger is a celebration of the brand’s iconic style, infused with a fresh perspective that speaks to the modern woman. The collection features refined and boldly feminine aesthetic that Ochs introduced in her inaugural collection, with a particular emphasis on updating the brand’s renowned body contouring silhouettes.
The overarching theme of “low-key luxury” threads through the collection, elevating the house’s signature bandage dresses with a boldly minimal asymmetrical style. This traditional design is enlivened with subtle yet impactful crystal hand embroidery, adding a hint of sparkle and sophistication. The crystal’s subtle shine is mirrored in the house-knitted sequin fabrications, which are crafted into long, lithe silhouettes, exuding an air of understated glamour.
The collection reimagines bandage as a concept. Moving away from its classic static form, the bandage is presented in spliced, deconstructed styles that introduce movement and visual intrigue. This modern interpretation allows the fabric to playfully interact with the wearer’s movements.
Fringe is utilized in a serpentine, softly draped manner, contouring around the body and subtly hinting at the figure beneath. This use of fringe adds a tactile dimension to the garments, enhancing their allure and femininity.
To offer a new perspective on day-to-night dressing, the collection includes tailored separates and dresses in a variety of luxurious woven fabrications. These include duchess satin, sequins, matte suiting, and bias-cut satin, providing a diverse range of textures and finishes. Each piece is designed to cater to the needs of the Herve Leger Woman, who values both style and functionality in her wardrobe.
Fashion photographer Nagi Sakai captured the lookbook featuring model Maria Keidj. In charge of styling was Natasha Royt, with beauty from ahir stylist Takuya, and makeup artist Ingeborg.
