Luxury house Celine unveiled its Summer 2024 advertising campaign starring supermodel Edie Campbell photographed and styled by the brand’s creative director Hedi Slimane. In charge of beauty were hair stylist Esther Langham and makeup artist Aaron de Mey. For the campaign Edie is wearing selected pieces from Tomboy Collection, presented back in September against the breathtaking backdrop of the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, such as Lola bag, wool jacket, embroidered silk skirt, triomphe derby, teen victoire, Celine Paris sweatshirt, Wesley shorts, triomphe leather cap, knitwear bodysuit, polly jeans, triomphe derby, triomphe sunglasses, classic jacket, and entimental baguette necklace.
Celine’s Summer 2024 collection celebrates craftsmanship and sustainability. The introduction of ethically sourced materials and a commitment to fur-free designs reinforce the brand’s stand on luxury and responsibility coexisting harmoniously. This commitment is further exemplified in the hand-embroidered couture jackets and dresses, each piece a labor of love that underscores Celine’s adherence to artistry and superior quality.
The collection, named Tomboy, reflects Slimane’s love fort to androgynous tailoring, a theme that has been a constant in his design career since the late 1990s. The collection is a bold exploration of timeless elegance and contemporary defiance, crafted for a generation that dares to redefine conventional style rules. It blends rocker mod aesthetics with classic French elegance, offering a refreshing divergence from the norm. From the bold statement of high-laced boots to the subtle sophistication of opulent detailing, each piece strikes a perfect balance.
