FALL WINTER 2024.25 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
The collection, titled “Wobbler Part Four,” encapsulates a reflection on the relentless pace of modern life and the personal journey of designer Mihara Yasuhiro. This introspective collection is a continuation of Yasuhiro’s artistic exploration, examining the themes of change, uncertainty, and the nostalgic power of music.
Yasuhiro’s musings on the rapid transformations of our time form the emotional core of the collection. He acknowledges his struggle to keep pace with these changes, likening himself to someone stumbling along, rather than confidently striding forward. This sense of unsteadiness extends to his vision of the future and footing, capturing a universal feeling of uncertainty in an ever-evolving world.
Amidst this landscape of change, Yasuhiro finds solace in the old-time music playing on the radio late at night. This music stirs his soul, akin to the freedom experienced by an aging ballerina – a metaphor for grace, resilience, and the beauty of experience. The music evokes a sense of liberation from the constraints of time and the pressure to continuously adapt.
“Wobbler Part Four” is a contemplation on the journey of life, with its ebbs and flows, its clarity and confusion. Yasuhiro’s words – “I wonder how long I’m destined to stumble” – reflect a deeper introspection on his path as a designer and individual.
