PUMA announced the return of the iconic Easy Rider, a classic running shoe that first made waves in the 1970s jogging craze. Originally released nearly half a century ago, the Easy Rider was a revolutionary step forward in running innovation, and now it’s back as the Easy Rider Vintage for 2024. The revamped model retains the essence of the original design while introducing premium construction in new colorways “Glacial Gray” and “Dewdrop“.

The Easy Rider Vintage campaign centers around the theme of family ties in various forms, featuring diverse family portraiture that delves into the significance of family and childhood experiences. The campaign highlights the tranquility of everyday moments, with locations and styling that bring unexpected and unique elements to the forefront. This campaign is part of a larger narrative, with part one focusing on the themes of history and heirlooms, hinting at more to come from PUMA and the Easy Rider franchise throughout 2024.
SNEAKERS
The Easy Rider was originally designed for cross-country and road running, featuring a padded nylon upper with suede reinforcements on the toe and heel. Its standout feature was the Federbein outsole, which utilized shock-absorbing rubber studs for cushioning. The Easy Rider’s innovative design led to the creation of “The Great Cat Family” collection, which included related models like the Joy Rider, Sky Rider, and Lite Rider, showcasing PUMA’s commitment to innovation in athletic footwear.

The first release of the PUMA Easy Rider Vintage in “Glacial Gray” will be available in limited quantities starting January 13, 2024, at select retailers, including Bodega, Atmos, and Sneakersnstuff. A second colorway is slated for release later in the year.
