Chloé goes through its legacy and future with the launch of “Chloé Portraits,” under the vision of Creative Director Chemena Kamali. This first portrait series aims to capture the essence of Chloé through the women who personify the brand’s heritage and spirit, described by Kamali as “effortlessly powerful, beautiful, free.“
Known for their distinctive perspectives, photographer David Sims and filmmaker Frank Lebon were set to bring this vision to life in Paris. The series juxtaposes the figures of Chloé’s past—Jerry Hall, Jessica Miller, Natalia Vodianova, and Liya Kebede—with the fresh faces that include FeiFei Sun, Ornella Umutoni, and Kristine Lindseth. This blend of generations, captured through Sims’ lens and Lebon’s storytelling, is at the center of the project. “Chloé Portraits” also introduces a newly refined Chloé logo, setting the stage for the Winter 2024 show scheduled for Paris Fashion Week on February 29th, 2024.
Chloé’s inception in 1952 by Gaby Aghion introduced luxury ready-to-wear that embraced a more liberated and authentic expression of femininity. This pioneering spirit has remained at the heart of the Maison, now under Kamali’s creative vision. With a background that includes a Master of Arts in Fashion from Central Saint Martins and roles alongside notable designers at Chloé and Saint Laurent, Kamali was appointed in October 2023 as Creative Director.
