The latest collection by Creative Director Rocco Iannone for Ferrari Fall Winter 24 is all about the body’s power and dynamism, set against the fundamental contrast of light and darkness. Iannone gets inspired by human anatomy and emotion, treating the body as a canvas of passion and desire, sculpted through precise tailoring and fluid movement. There is a delicate balance of sharp contours and soft curves, with each garment acting as an extension of the body’s energies.
The collection’s narrative is about light, how it emanates from and interacts with the human form. Iannone chooses light as the medium to express the body’s vibrant force, highlighting the way it can hold, reflect, and amplify energy. This interplay between light and darkness is captured through a focus on the color black, which, in its liquid form, reflects silver, metal, and white, creating a spectrum of shades.

Traditional tailoring fabrics like flannel and worsted wools undergo a reinterpretation, allowing for a dynamic play of curves and volumes that contract and expand. The blazer, with its emphasized shoulders and sculpted silhouette, becomes a standout piece, while indigo denim is reimagined with a resin treatment that captures light, simulating the appearance of glass. The collection further experiments with hand-painted leather, shiny chain embroideries, and couture weaving of silk with metal.
The dematerialization process reveals itself in the collection’s softer elements, where draped satin, ethereal organza, froissé velvets, and gauzy cashmere knitwear envelop the body. Accessories, from handcrafted leather footwear to the reinterpretation of the sporty driving shoe, complement the garments’ fluidity. Bags transition from the soft silhouettes of the GT Bag to the iconic Maranello Clutch, while couture gloves, slender titanium eyewear, and organically shaped jewelry pieces round out the collection.
