Gap and Dapper Dan have once again joined forces to launch a new spring collection that captures Harlem and the urban cowboy. Announced on February 7, 2024, this collaboration sees the duo expanding beyond their initial offerings into a 22-piece capsule that goes into new product categories. With an inspired focus on western denim looks that pay homage to the original cowboy, this range allows customers to dive deeper into the fashion logomania universe, all while embracing Gap’s styles and textiles. The pieces are showcased in a 2-minute film by Ghanaian-American photographer Joshua Kissi, set against the historic backdrop of the Graham Court apartment building.
Central to this partnership is the DAP GAP logo hoodie, a symbol of the brand’s two-year alliance with Dapper Dan. Now available in four new colorways, it stands as a part of Dapper Dan’s mission to transform perceptions of the hoodie within his community.
The spring capsule highlights include a denim kimono jacket, a Western-style denim button-down shirt, an embroidered cotton Oxford shirt, and a houndstooth icon denim jean jacket with matching straight-fit pants. Furthermore, the collections offer extend from kids’ size 8 to adult XXXL, making it the most extensive collection in collaboration with Dapper Dan to date. Set to be available in seven stores nationwide and online on February 9, the DAP GAP capsule is priced between $25 to $158.
