Despite what seemed like a predetermined path due to her lineage, Lila’s foray into modeling was not always a given. Growing up, Lila didn’t consider modeling as a career option because her mother initially opposed the idea, wanting to protect her from the industry’s pitfalls. However, her perspective changed with the launch of the Kate Moss Agency in 2016, providing a safer environment for Lila to explore modeling under her mother’s guidance.
The initial concerns of Kate Moss about the modeling world helped shape Lila’s personality. Describing herself as shy and introspective, Lila acknowledges the responsibility she carries, possibly more so than her mother at her age. Observing her mother’s career, Lila learned the demands of professional travel and the importance of forming close relationships within the industry.
Among Lila’s career highlights was her runway debut at Miu Miu’s Spring-Summer 2021 show, that came just after her 18th birthday. Despite feeling nervous, she was excited about the opportunity. Opening the show was a scary task, but it was an experience she cherished, especially as a fan of the brand.
This season, Lila features in several campaigns, with her work for Marc Jacobs, captured by Juergen Teller, standing out. Collaborating with renowned artists and photographers is a thrilling aspect of her career. Working with Elizaveta Porodina on this cover story was particularly fulfilling for Lila, aligning with her aspirations to engage with creative individuals who bring a unique vision to their work.
In 2024, Lila moving from her native London to New York. Enjoying her newfound independence, she appreciates the vibrancy of living in a city that offers a supportive community.
